I’ve been an avid supporter of the Entrepreneurship Avenue since the very beginning. The concept was very clear and obviously successful. There are three things I love the most: It is organized by students for students. Every year a new generation can learn and grow, practice entrepreneurship and leadership, and vastly expand their exposure and network (most got great job offers or started their business afterwards). It brings together students from a variety of universities (from business, arts, to tech and sciences). The diversity of approaches, ways of thinking and understanding the world is at the core. This is the foundation for disruptive innovation, but more importantly it enables participants to break their own silos and discover new worlds. It is great fun for all involved despite the significant amount of pro-bono work invested.

FFG is proud to support Entrepreneurship Avenue because we believe that there is so much potential of young students in academic institutions. We support young founders in the transition of this potential into great innovations within startups and spinoffs e.g. with programs such as the FFG Spin-off Fellowship and many other programs to turn ideas into business reality. The Entrepreneurship Avenue has become a fundamental part of the ecosystem over the last ten years, being one of the main centers to encourage and support entrepreneurship for students. Innovative universities and forward thinking professors are crucial in educating the founders of the future. For the future, I hope that universities intensify the exchange between faculties, to build the best teams for long term successful startups.

I probably got to know the Avenue from every possible perspective - once as a member of the organizing team, then as a participant with my own startup and now regularly as a mentor, workshop host or speaker. That's why the Avenue always feels a bit like a homecoming for me - lots of old familiar faces, new inspiring connections and endless entrepreneurial spirit. All of this makes the Entrepreneurship Avenue a cornerstone in Austria's yearly startup calendar.

Hence, the program contributes signifi cantly not only to the academic innovation ecosystem but to the entire Austrian startup ecosystem. I congratulate the organizers SIMConnect and the Entrepreneurship Center Network to their 10th anniversary and wish for many successful Avenues yet to come.
